Wyeast Scottish - 1728 This Scottish ale strain is an active yeast that results in a beer that is very malt forward. This makes it ideally suited for the strong, malty ales of Scotland. This strain is also very versatile, and is often used as a "House" strain as it ferments neutral and clean. Higher fermentation temperatures will result in an increased ester profile.
Temperature Range: 55-75F (13-24C)
Alcohol Tolerance: Approximately 12% ABV
