Beer Stix™ Carboy sticks are a simple, quality method to add oak barrel character to your homebrew batches of beer.
Careful aging and seasoning of the French Oak, along with precise Medium + toasting, delivers Roasted, Toasty aromas; flavors and aromas of coffee, caramel, and sweetness; and enhances the beer's length on the palate.
The BeerStix™ milling gives 60% more surface area compared to Wine Stix®, allowing faster extraction due to more short grain exposure. The milling is 1/16’’ thinner for a denser toasting.
Recommended dosage is one stick for 5-6 gallons of beer.
Please allow 2 months minimum extraction time to balance the extractions of short and long grain. Removal of the wood early only allows certain extractions of flavors, primarily from the short grain in the Beer Stix™ milling. End result is in likeness to a second use Barrel.
