This plastic 1/2" barb x 1/2" female NPT swivel fitting is made by Shurflo is designed to work with their Shurflo self-priming diaphragm pump.  These fittings are great because they make disconnecting the hoses from the pump extremely easy and it makes it so the hoses do not get twisted.
