Wyeast Yeast Nutrient
Although wort is a good growth medium for yeast, additional Wyeast nutrients will reduce lag time, improve yeast viability, and provide consistent attenuation rates.
Wyeast nutrient is a blend of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, free amino nitrogen compounds, zinc, phosphates, and other trace elements beneficial for rapid, complete fermentation.
Usage:
1 teaspoons per 5 gallons of beer or cider
1 - 2 teaspoons per 5 gallons of wine or mead
