Rich and smoky, this dark ale gets its distinctive flavor from 2 pounds of German smoked malt. Produces 5 gallons.

- 4 lbs of cracked grain
- 6 lbs of liquid malt extract
- 1 lb dry malt extract
- Target and Golding hops
- 1 large muslin grain bag

Our Partial Mash kits are for brewers who want to combine the ease of extract brewing with the control and broader variety of ingredients available to the all-grain brewer. These kits take a little more time to make than our Original line of kits, but they're worth the extra effort. Partial Mash kits require an accurate thermometer and large, sturdy colander in addition to basic brewing equipment.
