Australian Shiraz/Mourvedre - World Vineyard
Australia's extreme heat and sunshine make for intensely ripe grapes, and Shiraz and Mourvedre respond perfectly to it. The small, thick-skinned berries of Shiraz are deep blue-black in color and high in extract and flavor. Dense tannins, brisk acidity, and rich color help Mourvedre contribute structure and density to the blend. The wine has blueberry, blackberry and spicy notes, with firm tannins and bright fruit to drink well young and also to improve very well
with age. Enjoy with grilled beef, lamb chops and intense cheeses.
