I got several reviews back that said most thought this was between a red/stout, not heavily chocolately, & least likely to be followed by bittered typical stout finish. Excellent beer to drink or sip. Very froathy, agree w/fermenter comment that it gets gunked up during processes/have to watch

Wow. This beer is great. Very strong / thick / robust. Excellent flavor. The little air lock that comes with your kit is NOT going to fly. I had to improvise in mid ferment cause this beer was getting messy. Enjoy it by the fireplace in winter. It's like a coat.

This stout came out great! It has wonderful coffee/chocolate overtones and is a very strong beer. It feels thick on the pallet and has a nice creamy head. I will definitely be making another batch of this next brewing season! Just be aware that this brew may result in a vigorous fermentation for the first day or so, I use a siphon tube made of PVC pipe and had some kraeusen make it's way out of the fermenter which overflowed out of the 2 quart pitcher I was using for an airlock.
