I.P.A. (India Pale Ale) was created to stand up to the long boat trip from England to India. The brewers used more hops and alcohol to act as a preservative and a happy accident created a very drinkable beer that became very popular in England as well as India. Our American I.P.A. is based on the American West Coast interpretation of the style and uses American hops to give the beer its classic citrusy taste.
