Wyeast Activator Packs The ACTIVATOR has an average of 100 billion cells of pure liquid yeast ready to pitch, plus nutrients. The ACTIVATOR provides the pitching rate recommended by professionals. Pop the inner nutrient pack to activate yeast. When activated, yeast metabolism begins and the package swells, providing proof of viable active yeast ready for brewing.
Liquid yeast should be refrigerated upon arrival and is perishable. Short-term exposure to mild temperatures will not harm the yeast, but ice packs are available for longer shipments and summer orders.
